Even as a child, I was fascinated by the interplay of creativity and craftsmanship. I built my first creature costumes early on and quickly knew: I don't just want to experience special effects – I want to create them myself.

After my hairdressing apprenticeship, I completed my training as a makeup artist at the renowned Hasso von Hugo School in Berlin. Following this, I worked for over five years at the Theater des Westens, where I not only gained classical stage experience but also increasingly specialized in special effects and prosthetics.

In 2008, I founded Design of Illusion, my own studio for SFX makeup, prosthetics, and special effects. Since then, I have dedicated myself exclusively to developing cinematic special effects – for film, television, streaming, and stage.

I work with a flexible team of experienced specialists who join as needed for each project. This allows us to create tailor-made solutions – from individual pieces to large-scale production.
